FAQs

How do I pay?

We collect payments from our customers, the insured customer can then contact their insurance for a full reimbursement. Doing this can lead to a faster turn around time for your windshield replacement, or repair. It also ensures you can get the process completed with no insurance denials. We offer payments to be made over a month period and insurance reimbursements are generally returned after 2 weeks, making it easier to complete payments. We do not dictate terms on your insurance policy, but generally qualifying insured drivers can not be denied reimbursement after the jobs are completed. Please contact us if you have any further questions.

What is auto glass?

Auto glass is specially designed to ensure the safety and visibility of the driver and passengers. There are two main types of auto glass: laminated and tempered. Laminated glass is used for windshields as it is designed to stay in one piece when broken, reducing the risk of injury from shattered glass. Tempered glass is used for side and rear windows as it shatters into small, dull pieces when broken, reducing the risk of serious injury.

Why should I worry about my auto glass?

Your auto glass plays a crucial role in the structural  integrity of your vehicle. It provides support to the roof, ensures airbag deployment, and contributes to the overall safety of the vehicle. Ignoring damaged auto glass can compromise the safety of you and your passengers, making it essential to address any issues promptly.

The windshield of a vehicle plays a significant role in reflecting the vehicle's overall value. A well-maintained windshield indicates that the owner takes care of their vehicle (ie. higher trade-in/selling value!), which often extends to other aspects like the engine and interior. Additionally, a high-quality windshield can enhance overall driving experience, making the vehicle more desirable to potential buyers. A damaged, poorly maintained windshield, on the other hand, can detract from the vehicle's appeal and perceived value.

Should I repair or replace?

Whether to repair or replace your auto glass depends on the size, location, and severity of the damage. Small chips and cracks can often be repaired if they are not in the driver's line of sight and do not impair the structural integrity of the glass. However, if the damage is extensive or obstructs the driver's view, it is safer to opt for a replacement.

DIY windshield repair?

Windshield repair kits are the DIY haircut of the auto world—cheap and simple! Sure, you can buy those clippers and give yourself a trim, but let’s be honest, no one wants to end up a hairstyle that screams “I tried!” Just as a poorly executed haircut can leave you cancelling your next hot date, a haphazard windshield fix could leave you in a sticky situation. So, save yourself the hair-raising adventure and leave your windshield (and hair) to the pros!
